上海当代艺术馆即将于2006年11月4日、11月5日（周六、周日）举办“七人七面——捌零后独立影像联合展映”活动。

     本活动以“七人七面”为名，不仅明示了将有出自七位青年导演之手的七部风格各异的影像短片在活动期间得到展映，也因“七”同“期”（期盼、期望）之音，潜隐对中国“第七代”影像创作人未来发展的美好祝愿！

活动形式为：作品展映 + 主创现场座谈
     七部短片将分上下场在两天内展映。每日展映后，影片导演将协同其主创团队与大家座谈拍摄过程中的点点滴滴，交流、分享彼此对独立影像、DV创作的思考。届时，《9:61分》一书的作者——碧珊也将特意从北京赶来，带来她的观点，以及她采访、写作中的特殊经历和体验。

The Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai presents Seven Expressions - Short Films from the "80s" Generation on November 4th and 5th, 2006.
Entitled “Seven Expressions”, the event features seven short films of distinct styles directed by seven young artists born in the 1980s. The number “seven” conveys the best wishes for the seventh generation of Chinese directors as “seven” is pronounced the same as “expectation” in Chinese.
Event: Screening + Discussion
The seven short films will be displayed over two days. After the screening of each day, the directors and their production teams will discuss the details of their creative process as well as their reflections on independent video art and DV production. Bishan, the author of 9:61, will come from Beijing and will share with the audience her experiences of interviewing and writing.
The works include: As Time Goes By (by Angeline Ding), Dominique (by Ding Zheng), And I Know (by Huang Kai), F.I.L.L K.I.S.H (by Zero Lin), Zero (by Trankes), Rent (by Yu Lingsong), White Rabbit (by Arqie).

活动题记：
2003年，中国电影短片创作迎来了她的第一个高峰。数字设备的普及和人们压抑已久的表达欲成了这一现象的催生剂。而其中又以善于接受新鲜事物并正处于成长碰撞期的80后青年为主力。
时隔三年，我们回首再看时会发现当年诞生的大批作品，呈现出了前所未有的多元趋势。而当年的那些作者们也多已毕业，从最初的青春狂热变得冷静并日趋成熟。
这些青年影像作者的发展之路将会如何？在他们追梦年间的创作热情将以何种方式继续，并最终是否真的会进入主流电影产业中去？
让我们一起在不断的创作和交流中找寻答案。

In 2003, China has witnessed a huge increase in the quantity and quality of digital short films. The ubiquity of digital equipment and people’s suppressed desire to express were the catalysts of the movement. Young people born in the 1980s are open to fresh ideas. They naturally became the driving force of the new form of art.
Three years later, when we look back on the works created then, we realize that a lot of them showed an unprecedented diversity. Many of the artists have now graduated. They are cooling off from their passionate and turbulent youth and are maturing with their works.
What does the future hold for these young artists? Will they enter the mainstream of the film industry? Will they realize their dreams? Let us look for the answer in their continuous creativity and our on-going cultural exchange programmes.
