A PLACE TO GO AND SHINE The Asia Pacific region is steeped in history and is rich in diverse cultures. The advertising industry reflects this more and more as it matures and grows in confidence and gains international status. The AP AdFest is the ideal forum of mutual rediscovery and inspiration for creatives in Asia. It can help the creative community to build on its success and has become a recognised source of learning and stature, joining the circle of respected international awards that are already rewarding talented creatives worldwide. IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT THE AWARDS Although the awards competition is an integral part of the attraction of AP AdFest, the overall focus covers a much broader perspective: 1. To organize an annual screening and judging of creative work produced in Asia Pacific,thereby raising the awareness and standard of the work. 2. To act as a forum for creative, production and marketing people in the region to meet,learn and exchange views and ideas. 3. To raise the awareness of the profusion of cultural heritages and values in the region,thereby encouraging a greater rediscovery and use of these within each country. 4. To undertake, when possible, creative and production seminars or discussions during theevent. 5. To keep all expenses and costs low in order to encourage wide participation, in particular the middle to upper middle level of creative personnel who will realize the maximum benefits from such exposure. 6. To encourage exhibitions by related industries, e.g. production houses, computer and computer related industries, photographic/lighting companies as well as publication houses and other information/communication industries. ADFEST IS ABOUT YOU AP AdFest was created as a celebration of creativity for creative people in Asia of all levels. But the event has much to offer to an even wider audience. It's really for anyone who needs to be aware of the latest trends and news from within the advertising and creativity communities in Asia. This includes agency account management, strategic planners, marketing personnel, and those in the production field. WHO CAN ENTER Anyone working in the Asia Pacific region involved in creating communications ideas in an increasingly diverse selection of media formats is eligible to enter their work into AP AdFest. From creative people to designers, and production personnel. This is an excellent forum for exposure of your work, and although your entries may or may not end up winning awards, they will gain exposure for you and also contribute to a learning process that all can share and enjoy.
